For Sale – 1974 Austin Allegro 1300 Super DL
"Isn't she lovely? I have owned her since 2010 and only put 9,000 miles on her.
She has never let me down and given me great pleasure. Sailed through the latest MOT (18/05/2015) with no advisories. The mechanics remarked on her original and corrosion free condition, as indeed they did when I first brought her to them.
This year I have replaced the front grille, two hubcaps, washer pump and jets, hazard light switch and instrument cluster facia (could only source a non silvered example)
Hydrogas recharged at MOT.
She comes with a few spare bits:
Quartic steering wheel, the old grille, 4 hub caps in varying condition (2 as new), driver side door hinge bracket, boot trim moulding, brake slave etc. Original Allegro workshop manual too.
I have tried to show the worst of her in the last three photographs. This is only superficial and could easily be remedied by her new owner. It would not take much attention to bring her up to show standard. Please do try and view her, she really is a solid unrestored example. No welding, floor pan and sills in cracking condition.
I have added some composite images of door jambs and underside (driven over wet roads). Last photograph shows drivers door after the wind caught it, hence the replacement NOS hinge.
Log book is now amended to show historic vehicle status...free road fund licence!"
